Skyline turns print customers’ into JDF experts without them knowing it, saving the Print Room time and money in processing work.
Of particular interest was ePrint Directs participation in the JDF Pavilion where visitors could see practical demonstrations of JDF applications linked easily together to form sophisticated workflows.

ePrint Direct will be showing Skyline, its "JDF all the way through" document submission solution at IPEX 2006. Located in the JDF Pavilion, visitors will be able to meet with the ePrint Direct software development team and see a demonstration of Skyline's sophisticated application of this revolution in print standards.
JDF has emerged from years of development though the industry standards body, CIP4, of which ePrint Direct is a member. It lays down the rules that allow different hardware and software vendors to exchange print job information. This development offers many exciting new possibilities as JDF enabled printers, estimating and workflow solutions become widely available and the standard will undoubtedly become a minimum requirement for any new system procurement.

Companies in virtually every industry are under great pressure to reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of their documentation while Print Rooms face the challenge of processing, tracking and editing both traditional hard copy and digital documents efficiently. Now ePrint Direct combines with eCopy to integrate paper documents into a seamless digital print flow to the Print Room providing a single point of entry for all print requests.
Staying true to our aim of providing easy to use solutions that address the real world needs of our customers, documents are simply scanned into a convenient MFD or desktop device equipped with an eCopy terminal. Having done so, the customer selects the Print Room from the list of possible destinations and completes the RemotePrinter Job Ticket that is presented on the terminal. The document, now converted into a PDF and attached to the Job Ticket, is forwarded directly to the Print Room Server where it can be processed along with documents submitted via the web or RemotePrinter drivers.

The Process Automation and JDF Pavilion at Ipex 2006 - one of the new product zones introduced to the show - is already 75 per cent reserved.
To date, 15 companies have confirmed their space, including Dalim Software, EFI, Screen, Heidelberg, ePrint Direct, Dr Lauterbach and Partner and Lithotechnics. The 250 square metre Process Automation and JDF Pavilion will be prominently positioned in Hall 20, and will highlight ways of improving production inter-operability, productivity and profitability, said Ipex 2006 organiser IIR Exhibitions.
Visitors will also be able to hear user case study presentations to be held in the theatre area within the pavilion, including CIPPI (CIP4 International Print Production Innovation) Award winning examples.

RemotePrinter will be showcased in the application zones of Xerox and Danwood during IPEX2006. Xerox will have the largest stand at the show taking up almost the entire area of Hall 3A. Danwood will be in Hall 6 Stand B60. Visitors will have the opportunity of seeing RemotePrinter interact with a range of Danwood and Xerox products including Xerox FreeFlow applications.
