First Copy, the successful Cambridge based Xerox Premier Concessionaire, is now offering the ePrint Skyline Hosted service as part of its well established objective of adding value to the digital printing experience for its customers.
Laurie Ryan, Firstcopy, believes that the service offers customers a low cost way to assess the benefits that an on line print service can bring to their business. “The scalability”, says Laurie “means that as Skyline delivers increased print volumes our customers can enhance the service simply and easily. They can even choose to purchase the system outright if they wish to eventually run the system on their own in-house servers.
With the popularity of hosted services across all market segments and the ability of Skyline to offer a big internet presence to printers without the need for IT Departments, ePrint anticipates partnerships with forward looking suppliers such as FirstCopy to develop significantly in the future.
In the past a fully featured web to print solution required significant financial outlay, either purchasing applications or developing in-house systems. This, says Tim Hopkins, ePrint Communications Manager, placed such systems out of the reach of many printers. The Skyline hosted service changes all that by providing the means for even small and medium print businesses to extend service horizons through the use of Skyline’s sophisticated web to print capability.
